Did you know that every single day that our shop on Madison Avenue in Manhattan is open, there is a Lobel family member there cutting meat? The shop is never open without a Lobel behind the butcher block. Why? Because we take pride in our product—it is our family name after all—and because we want to stay connected with our customers. There is something to say for being able to look our customer in the eye as we hand them a package of freshly cut steaks.
Of course, we can’t do that with all our customers nationwide—though we wish we could. So we’re doing the next best thing. We’re staying connected with you in as many ways as we can. If you're there, we want to be there too. That’s why we’re sharing with you on sites like Facebook and Pinterest. And we want to hear from you. So, please, come join us. We’d be delighted to have a conversation with you.
Pique Your Appetite with Lobel’s Culinary Club
For years, Lobel’s Culinary Club has been our email communication to our fans. Now, in addition to that, all the wisdom imparted by five generations of butchers can also be found in our Culinary Club blog. Here you’ll find ideas and inspiration for recipes, menus, and entertaining; learn about meat, Culinary Classics, and the history and culture of food; and hear first-hand what’s new and exciting with the Lobel family of butchers. Subscribe for free either by email or with an RSS reader.
For instance, here’s a bit of news that’s “just in”: The Yankees home opener is this Friday, and we’ve got our Carving Station ready to crank out our famous steak sandwiches! Read all about it.

Get Pinned: Foodies Love Pinterest
For many foodies, nothing gives them more inspiration than a gorgeous photo of something delicious. Be it a juicy steak, an elaborately decorated cake, a gooey cookie, or a Dagwood-worthy sandwich—a picture says it all. And that’s what Pinterest is all about. It’s a way to share photos of what you love—or what you’re craving—with others. For instance, we have a pin-board all about spring—from centerpieces and serve ware to side dishes and desserts. Check us out on Pinterest and come pin with us!
Tune in on YouTube
Watching our YouTube Channel is about as close as many people will get to having a renowned, fourth- or fifth-generation butcher in their kitchen with them. Currently, you can watch a number of tutorials on master techniques of cooking, such as How To: Grill the Perfect Steak or How To: Braise. And we have more exciting videos planned. Stop by, take a look, and let us know what else you’d like to see the Lobels demonstrate.
